The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India is a premiere national centre of excellence in Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and is located in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
At the instatnce of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Hyderabad has taken up an evaluation study on " the status of land allotted to the poor under various Government Programmes in selected states". Assam, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are the states that have been identified for the study.
In this connection, this Directorate took an initiative to procure information from all the Districts of the State regarding distribution of land to poor people.
